Still Here is a grief support companion for adults. It is an AI, and it says so plainly, everywhere. It is not a therapist and not a substitute for one.
What it is built on
Every part of the product conforms to an explicit clinical design document grounded in the bereavement research literature: the Dual Process Model of grieving (Stroebe & Schut), continuing bonds theory (Klass, Silverman & Nickman; Field and colleagues), meaning reconstruction (Neimeyer), and the ICD-11 and DSM-5-TR criteria for Prolonged Grief Disorder, with treatment evidence from randomized trials (Shear and colleagues). The same document defines when Still Here must point you to professional care instead of continuing.
The lines it will not cross
Still Here never writes messages as the person who died, never imitates their voice, and never claims to channel them, no matter how it is asked, because the research suggests simulating the dead can make grief harder to carry. Every message is checked by a separate crisis-safety system, and in a crisis the conversation stops and a verified human helpline for your country appears first. That safety path is free, always, whether or not you ever pay.
How it treats your data
Conversations are not stored on our servers. What you share during setup is encrypted, never used for advertising, and yours to export or delete in one click. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
